I am a tenure-track assistant professor of strategy at Northeastern University, D'Amore-McKim School of Business.
My research examines how firms can gain competitive advantage by shaping the direction of innovation in emerging technologies. I focus on firms' knowledge strategies, meaning the choices of what knowledge to develop and who drives that development. I study both the behaviors of firms that make an emerging technology more general-purpose, and the actors within them whose knowledge-development decisions under uncertainty cause organizational challenges.
I earned a Ph.D. in management at the Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to my doctoral studies, I worked as a researcher at Harvard Business School and MIT. I hold an M.S. in economics from Tufts University and a B.A. in economics, with a minor in mathematics, from Konkuk University.
